Take this opportunity to advise your Member of Parliament on legislative action needed to address climate change and the environmental priorities of the Blue Mountains.

Text Box: Aims:
· To identify legal, economic, social and political factors that contribute to environmental degradation and climate change.
· To identify climate change impacts on the Blue Mountains environment and community.
· To formulate a practical plan of action to protect and conserve the natural and cultural heritage of the Blue Mountains and to regenerate degraded natural areas and mitigate against further damage.

Objectives:
· To facilitate dialogue between a range of stakeholders, including local residents, environmental and other non-government organisations, local Aboriginal communities, local Council and State Government agencies, scientists, etc.
· To develop in each workshop specific recommendations for endorsement at the plenary session.
· To initiate focussed approaches to Federal, State and Local Government.
· To set up formal arrangements for reporting back to Summit participants and the community.
· To facilitate on-going networking on environmental issues.
